IMPORTANT: THE MASCA CANYON IS CLOSED AT THE MOMENT
Masca Valley is probably one of the most popular places for trekking in Tenerife. If you like nature and prefer to spend your holidays in an active way, check out this excursion.
Our trekking will start in Masca village – the small authentic place located in the mountains. This rural village conserved typical Canary atmosphere, which you will not find in the touristic areas.
We will hike descending into the ravine, taking the natural paths and passing by old and abandoned cultivation terraces. Afterwards we will continue our hike at the rocky areas through the dried river bed, enjoying the impressive landscapes of this incredible place. Our professional guide will tell you a lot of interesting things about the area and its flora and fauna.
The route will finish at the pretty Masca Bay. There you can swim and refresh in the crystal clear water after our adventurous hike. After we chill a bit and finish our swim, the boat will pick us up and bring to the harbour of Los Gigantes. On the way you can also contemplate the glorious Los Gigantes cliffs.
Please note, that this trekking excursion requires some hiking experience as we will go downhill through the loose ground and take narrow and climbing paths. If you are suffering from vertigo or knees problems, this trip is not recommended for you.
Please, remember to take your ID, swimwear and enough of drinking water (at least 1.5 litres per person). Ensure you are wearing comfortable rugged shoes and have sun and wind protection.
