Climb to the summit of Teide, the highest peak in Spain in an exclusive adventure for you and your family. The ascent is done on foot with a private guide with solid hiking experience.
We start at Montaña Blanca at 2320m above sea level. You should take precautions for a very demanding trail.
We start on lava and pumice routes. The first hour and a half the ascent is gentle on gentle trails. Then we will feel how the slope becomes steeper and the path becomes narrower, so we arrive at the Altavista Refuge at 3,200 metres above sea level. At this point we will make our first stop to adapt to the pressure and climate at this altitude. There you will have the opportunity to have a snack to renew your energy and continue (lunch is not included).
Then we head to the Teide cable car station at 3500 m above sea level, ascending through paths marked by solidified lava. We arrive at the top station of the cable car, from where we will have the best views of the park and the whole island.
Get ready for the final stretch, the ascent to the crater at 3,700 metres above sea level, from where you will have magnificent views of the whole archipelago. This is the most demanding part of the route, but it is rewarding for the wonders it offers. Once at the top you can rest and take the opportunity to admire the splendour of the Canary Islands, the sea and the horizon that surrounds them.

According to the current regulations, people with physical or motor disabilities are not allowed to ascend by cable car either, due to evacuation risks.
It is important to bear in mind that in the event of the facilities ceasing to function for unexpected technical reasons, people at the upper station would have to make the descent on foot along steep mountain trails.
Important information:
The booking of this activity is subject to confirmation until the crater access permits have been issued.
If the activity cannot be confirmed, an alternative date will be offered or the amount paid will be refunded.
It is essential to show your ID card or passport at the entrance to the crater trail.
In the event that the path to the peak is closed, the Teide National Park staff may allow access only to those federated mountaineers who can justify their ability and have the appropriate means (equipment). It is the responsibility of the client to have such documentation and means, and their absence exempts Volcano Teide from any responsibility.
Cancellations:
In the event that the activity cannot be carried out due to adverse weather conditions or if any of the trails are closed, the activity will be cancelled and the amount paid will be refunded.
If for weather reasons it is not possible to use the cable car for the descent, we will offer you two alternatives: to walk down from the Peak to the start of the Montaña Blanca path or to do a shorter hike in which you will only reach the Refuge, without accessing the crater, and then walk back down Montaña Blanca.
In the event that in the middle of the ascent the weather conditions are not favourable, the guide will decide if you continue with your ascent to the peak of Teide on foot exclusively or if it should be cancelled.
As this activity includes the crater access permit, we do not accept cancellations once the booking has been confirmed.
