The Irish gladly share their traditions and festivities with the rest of the world. If you are in Tenerife you can enjoy this day with the same fervour with which it is celebrated in Ireland.

The fundamental events of this celebration are green clothes and green beer, 3-petalled shamrocks, bagpipes and dancers. Being in Tenerife doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate and here’s how to do it.

Turning on the green lights

The green wave reaches many squares and public places in Tenerife. On this day dozens of green lights are lit to join in the celebration and remind our Irish friends that we are pleased to have them on our island.

If you stay at home you can organise themed parties with your friends, family and partner. The rule here is to arrive dressed in Green. Let yourselves be infected by the Irish joy and enjoy the party. For the music you can use Irish bands and the food, of course, should be typical Irish food accompanied by Guinness beer.

Private boat parties

Que hacer el dia de St. Patrick's

If you want to celebrate the day with an unforgettable gathering we suggest you invite your friends for a yacht trip. The boat charter in Tenerife gives us the opportunity to share with friends with good music and refreshing drinks.

This is the best option to celebrate this day if you are in our island. We offer exclusivity so that you can have fun in total privacy. If you have a boat licence, you can rent a boat without a skipper so that you can drive the boat yourself. If you would like to rent a boat, please contact us and we will be happy to help you.

Irish community in Tenerife

The Irish community in Tenerife hold different events every year to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The events are supported by the Adeje Town Hall and the Irish Consulate.

In Tenerife people of over 100 nationalities live together in harmony. We believe in respect and peaceful coexistence among all, which is why the green wave is present in many areas of the island.
