Playa de las Vistas, also known as Las Vistas Beach, is a very attractive beach for locals and the rest of the Spaniards.
It is also constantly receiving tourists from all over the world who fall in love with its charm. The biggest influx of visitors is during the summer, but it continues to attract an average volume throughout the rest of the year.
Thanks to its row of breakwaters it offers very calm waters, ideal for visiting with children. Don’t worry about the waves, just enjoy the peace and quiet and relax.
Location
Municipality: Arona
It is located in the south of Tenerife next to the Los Cristianos seaport in the town of the same name. As it is very close to Los Cristianos beach, you can walk from one to the other along the promenade.
Hotels and Restaurants
It is surrounded by hotels and flats, which makes it one of the most visited beaches by tourists all year round.
The Las Vistas promenade is lined with food stalls in case you fancy a snack. There are also many shops, restaurants and a McDonalds.
Sand
It offers delicious golden sands. Visitors enjoy lying on the sand to get a tan, enjoy the Atlantic sun and relax to the sound of the sea.
Accessibility
Las Vistas is one of the twelve beaches on the island of Tenerife defined as an Accessible Beach. This means that it is adapted for people with reduced mobility, with ramps and walkways for easy access, as well as showers and parking spaces for wheelchair users.
What you can find
Sun loungers and parasols
If you prefer to stay in the shade, there are plenty of areas for visitors to rent with comfortable hammocks for a fee.
Sports
Many tourists go to the beach to have fun and get some exercise. Volleyball is one of the most popular beach sports and you can play it here. There are several volleyball nets along the beach for you to enjoy with your family and friends.
If you also like water sports, you can enjoy jet skiing, banana boating and parasailing.
Artificial island
As if its natural charm were not enough, it also offers a small artificial island with a fountain that shoots water into the sky to the delight of visitors. Get some unique photos that will look like something out of a sea of fantasy.
Car park
On the Las Vistas promenade, very close to the beach is the parking place for the seaport. As this is the best place to leave your car, we must point out that there is a fee.
Some tourists look for a free place in the nearby streets and then walk to the beach. This way they save on parking and enjoy the walk at the same time.
Security for the holidaymaker
There is a lifeguard station set up by the Red Cross. It is always under surveillance and has lifeguards who are always on the lookout for anything that might happen.
Flags
Although the beach is well guarded, it is up to us to take care of ourselves. For this purpose, there are different flags to indicate to visitors how the water is. Here is a colour code that you should always keep in mind:
- Red: not suitable for bathing
- Yellow: suitable for bathing but with caution.
- Green: suitable for bathing

In order to protect the beach and the peace of mind of other visitors, it is indicated that you cannot:
- Bring dogs
- Camp
- Leave cigarette butts on the sand
- Play music
